Scope and Contents
Disassembled album of hand-painted images of Japan. Includes iimages of Japanese professions and people that appear to be staged, perhaps because the album was intended for the foreign market. These professions include, samurais, rice makers, firemen, carpenters, prisoners, Buddhists priests, tea gathers, actors, and more. Also consists of images of Hakone, Mt. Fuji, Yokohama, Hakodate, Nagaski, and cherry blossoms. There are short captions printed onto most images.
