"[Incunabulum Leaf] from the Nuremberg Chronicle. First Ed. Folio. Nuremberg: Anton Koberger. The Nuremberg World Chronicle was compiled by Dr. Hartman Schedel and contains numerous woodcuts of two noted artists, Michael Wolgemut and his stepson, William Pleydenwurff. Printed by Anton Koberger, a one-time baker in 1493, the World Chronicle was his most successful venture throughout his more than 50 years in the printing business. This leaf has 5 woodcuts by Wolgemut and Pleydenwurff, three on recto, two on verso; attracitvely matted." Text in black and red 18"x23" frame. Displayed in 4410D Scholar's Room
