A collection of letters, notes, memorandum, brochures & other items. Examples are: a large packet of corresp., statements and other material related to "Contract NBy 34254 Exterior Repairs and Painting of Various Buildings, Naval Air Station, North Island, San Diego, California" & losses perceived by Painting Contractor George C. Punton; a letter (2/22/62) from North Dakota Congressman Nygaard to Congressman Wilson requesting assistance for North Dakota constituents as to Minuteman Missile site construction employment for locals as opposed to out of state job seekers; letters (June-Aug. 1962) from Col. Harold P. Sparks (USAF) to Wilson notifying him of awards of contacts to Cubic Corp. & General Dynamics/Astronautics; a small packet of corresp. (Ap.-May 1962) re/ Rocket Chemical Co., Inc., their product WD-40 & its use by various military departments; office note (n.d.) & attached Dept. of Commerce Maritime Administration Release for June 28, 1962 re/ "Bids on 5 Cargo Ships Asked For U.S. Lines;" letters & a telegram (May & June 1962) re/ issues raised by E.T. Pedersen, Territory Manager, Diamond National Corp. to Wilson and the Navy concerning commissary purchasing practices at the 32nd Street Commissary; letters & office notes (Jan.-Feb. 1962) from Robert F. Bennett (Mgr., Campbell Machine, Inc., Congressman Wilson & RADM. R.K. James (Chief, BuShips) re/ "Navy-owned Floating Dry Dock AFDL-43," local bidding & other financial concerns; a letter (Ap. 17, 1962) from G. Allen Briggs (Pres., National Assn. of Plumbing Contractors) to Wilson and attached copy of "Economy and Efficiency with Separate Mechanical Contracts" re/ "your Committee's evident interest in cutting the cost of federal construction and procuring better quality results for the tax dollar."
