Examples are: letters & memorandum (Dec. 1963 & Jan. 1964) re/ Mr. B.A. Rittersporn, Jr. (New York) and his extensive Memorandum to the Senate concerning "the country's troop deployment in Europe;" a packet of corresp. and information (Sept. 1964) re/ material on a "'memorary system' for Congressional surveillance of Defense Department activities;" letters from La Jolla constituent W.H. Osgood & Congresman Wilson, an attached National Geographic World Map & a news clipping -- "McNamara Backs 800-Ship Navy, Nonatomic Carrier," The San Diego Union, Jan. 19, 1964 re/ Cuban crisis, shortage of planes and nonatomic carrier concept; corresp.
