A large collection of letters, maps, telegrams, notes, memos and other items. Examples are: letters (Feb.-Mar. 1955), news clipping (n.d.) and 1 page legal brief re/ C.W. Carlstrom vs. PHA and building demolition in Frontier Housing; letters (Feb.-Ap. 1955) re/ Kiwanis Club interest in acquiring 3 & 1/2 acres in Linda Vista; letters (Ap.-May 1955) & map re/ Contra Costa County Development Association opposition to the Navy acquiring an additional 4,500 acres as a buffer zone to the Port Chicago naval ammunition depot; letters (May-June, 1955) re/ interest of Kelco Co. for sodium prospecting on Cadiz Dry Lake in San Bernadino County; letters (Mar.-May 1955) re/ National City constituent's interest in the "possibilities of a transfer or lease of a piece of [Navy] property; a packet of corresp. (Mar.-June 1955) re/ Alpine constituent inquires about "mining claims on lands owned or controlled by the Navy" in the Chocolate Mountain Gunnery range; letters (July 1955) and news clipping re/ Hazard Contracting Co. & Navy's interest in buying 398 acres near the Mexican border; 2 packets of corresp.
