A large collection of letters, memorandum, a photocopy of H.R. 4883, telegrams, manuals, photos & statistical data. Examples are: A letter (11/29/62) from Mrs. Gene P. McFall (Ex. Dir., Girl Scout Council of San Diego County, Inc.) & Wilson's reply (12/13/62) re/ trip to Sweden and other personal information; letters and memorandum (July-Aug. 1962) from Mrs. McFall, BLM & U.S. Forest Service re/ land issue between YMCA Camp Marston and Girl Scout Camp Davidson in Pine Hills area; a packet of corresp. including copy of H.R. 4883 "A Bill To provide for the conveyance of certain real property of the United States to the San Diego County Council Boy Scouts of America" (1961-1962) re/ "request for lands to be used in conjunction with the Girl Scout camping program in San Diego;" a packet of letters, news items and other material (Mar. 1961-Mar.1962) re/ "a Federal grant to carry on and expand your work in specialized areas of camping for physically handicapped children;" letters & notes (Mar.-Ap. 1962) re/ "application, 'Camp Safari, a resident camp for mentally retarded and physically handicapped children;" a telegram (2/27/61) re/ Bill to authorized transfer of 160 acres to Boy Scout Council of San Diego and concern about transfer for Girl Scout use as well; a "Let's Join the Safari" folder with letters, application forms, b&w & color photographs & "Narrative Description of Project;" & one copy of Camp Safari Staff Manual (1961).
