A collection of letters, telegrams, a booklet, news clippings & office notes. Examples are: letters (Feb.-Mar. 1965) from constituent Mrs. G.C. Pomraning, Wilson & Douglas MacArthur II (Asst. Secretary for Congressional Relations, State Dept.) re/ requests for information on Eldercare and Medicare bills and "How much aid, in all forms, is the U.S. sending to Indonesia and Egypt?"; letters & address information (Mar. 1965) from Dept. of State and Wilson re/ foreign policy conference for editors and broadcasters in April; a number of small packets of corresp (Mar.-May 1965) from constituents and Wilson and State Dept. responses regarding "the Otepka case" – a State Department employee's appeal of his dismissal notice; a copy of Dept. of State, Aggression From the North The Record of North Viet-Nam's Campaign To Conquer South Viet-Nam (64 pages of text, photos & charts); letters (Mar. 1965) from constituent George D. Millay, Edgar M. Gillenwaters (Wilson's Admin. Asst.) & John F. Killea (Consul General) re/ international soccer tournament in Tijuana for "Kennedy Cup" and potential for honoring soccer teams with a visit to Sea World which Mr. Millay rejected; letters & news clipping (Mar.-Ap.1965) re/ constituent alarm over the case of State Dept. employee John R. Norpel as similar to Otepka case; other issues and topics in this folder are: responses to queries regarding "private properties belonging to U.S. citizens which have been seized by foreign governments over the past four years;" "availability of A.I.D. funds for building tourist facilities on Western Samoa;" response to inquiry into the possibility of California obtaining an Egyptian temple; responses to constituent inquiry regarding trade complaints from American businessmen against the Waseda Sangyo Co.: constituent concerns about U.S. policy regarding the Sino-Soviet split; and an inquiry and information regarding a SDSC political scientist's summer visit to the Panama Canal Zone.
