Scope and Contents

A collection of letters, telegrams, official statements, office notes, postal cards, news clippings & other items. These are not filed chronologically. Examples are: "Statement Concerning Classification of Nonsupervisory Civilian Guard Positions at Naval Shore Activities" (2 pp, n.d.); financial "Navy Facts of Interest Concerning San Diego Area" (1 page, 1952.); "Eleventh Naval District (A Brief Description)" & "Organization of Pacific Fleet In Southern California" (3 pages, n.d.); a letter (1/2/54) from constituent Mrs. Ora B. Blann, Congressman Wilson's reply (1/11/54) & attached news clipping, "Navy Medical Cuts to Affect 250,000," Evening Tribune (n.d.) re/ Wilson's response that "rather than a cut in medical care, there might be an improvement;" a letter (1/14/54) from the California Fuchia Society & Wilson's reply (1/20/54) re/ a request to improve the appearance of the Naval Station and restrict trash burning; letters (Jan. 1954) from Wilson and Adm.
