Scope and Contents
A collection of letters & postal cards from constituents and Wilson's replies. All of these appear to be opposed to this RIF at the Amphibious Base. This folder also contains one page from the Congressional Record for August 15, 1958 – "The Importance of Civilian Specialists to the Navy A Speech by Congressman Bob Wilson of California" in response to H. R. 11094 ("the anti-military workshop bill"). Wilson's topics were: Policy Includes Private Industry, The Navy Position, Overhaul and Repair Departments Strategically Located, Direct Fleet Support Mission, Shore Duty Essential, and Civilian Talents Important.
