A large collection of letters, office notes, telegrams, charts, maps & reports. Examples are: "Memo to Bob from EFT" re/ "tabulation of number of personnel involved in transfers and changes of Home Ports during the fiscal years involved" – 1955-1958; a 1954 Anchorage Chart for San Diego Bay; A Main Ship Channel drawing for "Forrestal Dock showing Carrier & Flight Deck overhang" (Adm. Tarbuck); a letter (1/31/58) from Congressman Wilson to Adm. Ray Tarbuck & attached copies of Ships homeported in the Port of Los Angeles at the beginning of Fiscal Year 1955, 1956 & 1957; copies of "1958 Report of the San Diego Navy" by, Rear Adm. Ray Tarbuck, USN, Ret. re/ Aircraft Carriers, Submarines, Navy Housing, Change of Home Port, Water, San Diego Naval Shipyard, Personal, & Expansion—Its Cooperation and Conflict; other items in this folder cover constituent and military commentaries on shore and ship based personnel (1949-1958); U. S. Marine Corps data; more communication between Adm. Tarbuck and Wilson, a stapled packet of corresp. (1958) re/ "Commentary By Harold Keen On Newsroom, Wednesday, June 18. 1958;" & the Tarbuck Report; and corresp. re/ home port for Forrestal-type carriers in San Diego, such as the Constellation.
