A collection of letters, news clippings, telegrams, memos & memorandum. Examples are: letters (7/57) from Congressmen John F. Baldwin & Bob Wilson & attached copy of an editorial from the Times-Herald (7/4/57) re/ the potential closing of Mare Island hospital and replacement with a new hospital in Oakland is questioned; a letter (7/11/57) from R. A. Langdon (Admin. Asst. to the National Secretary – Fleet Reserve Assoc.) & Wilson's reply (7/15/57) re/ responses to the potential closing of the Corona Naval Hospital; a letter (7/25/57) from Dr. J. Lafe Ludwig (Los Angeles) & Wilson's reply (7/30/57) re/ support for closing of excess military hospitals to meet the Hoover Commission's recommendations; a letter (7/25/57) from constituent Harold F.
