Scope and Contents
A small collection of letters. Examples are: letters (Jan. 1962) from Spring Valley constituent Dale E. Cooper, Congressman Wilson & Capt. W. F. Petrovic (Commanding Officer, Naval Repair Facility) re/ complaints concerning layoffs of employees while others continue to work double shifts; a letter (4/22/62) from Chula Vista constituent Kenneth L. Belland & Wilson's reply (5/8/62) re/ a federal employee is "deeply opposed to a provision of the Department of Defense Appropriation Bill which would seriously limit the funds to be used in naval shipyards;" a letter (4/21/62) from constituent Mrs. Laqueta H. Prihoda & Wilson's reply (6/22/62) re/ apposition to DoD Appropriation Bill that would limit funds to be used at Naval Shipyards. Wilson concurred with Mrs. Prihoda; letters (Apr.-June 1959) from a variety of San Diego companies supporting H. R. 11289 that would create a 35%-65% split in Navy repair, alteration and conversion work thus channel more federal dollars into these businesses; letters (Mar.-June 1962) re/ change of command for Naval Repair Facility. "Change of Command Ceremony" notice & Wilson's acceptance (8/62) re/ "Captain W. F. Petrovic U.S.N. will be relieved by Captain D. K. Ela, U.S.N.
