A small collection of letters, notes and news clippings. Examples are: copies of letters (12/1/57, 3/5 & 3/10/58) from Congressman Wilson and President Dwight D. Eisenhower re/ the President's response to Wilson's inquiry about "plans for development of an atomic powered seaplane;" news clippings from the Evening Tribune (1/1 & 2/6/58) re/ "Wilson Asks Plane Plans" & "Gates Describes A-Plane Role;" a Resolution (3/17/58) & Wilson's reply (4/16/58) re/ "resolution recommending the construction of nuclear submarines in San Diego" from the San Diego Industrial Development Council, Inc.; letters (5/58) from VAdm. Mahlon S. Tisdale (ret,), Wilson & copies of Senate Joint Resolution No. 11 (4/14/58) and H.J. RES. 594 (4/29/58) re/ "To provide that nuclearpowered fleet ballistic missile submarine vessels shall be named for States; a letter (8/23/58) from Wilson & attached photocopy of a news clipping re/ "Atomic Seaplanes Study Continued;" a copy of a letter (1/19/59) from Wilson to Capt. Norvel Richardson (Staff, Naval Air, Pacific) re/ article written by PR man from Convair re/ atomic-powered seaplane; letters (2/2 & 2/24/61) from Norman S. Paul (Asst. to the Secretary of the Navy) & VAdm. R. B. Price to Wilson re/ the Navy's seaplane report.
