Holloway, Jr. (Chief of Naval Personnel) to Wilson re/ reductions in civilian employees at the U.S. Naval Training Center and Naval Amphibious Base; letters (Nov.-Dec.1957) from Wilson, Col. E. M. Staab, Jr. USMC (Assistant Chief for Morale Services, Acting, Bureau of Naval Personnel) & Jack Mashin (Dir. of Athletics, Grossmont Union High School) re/ compensation "to Mr. Jack Mashin for coaching services for the 1958 Navy Olympic track team;" a letter (6/26/58) from Capt. A. D. Hunter (Dist. Public Works Officer, 11th Naval Dist.) & attached copy of "News Release of 25 June 1958" re/ award of a major construction contract at the Naval Training Center for "Bachelor Officers' Quarters with Mess;" copies of a proposal for the "Naval Training Center, San Diego, California Communications School (1st Increment) $4,199,000" - no date listed but this probably originated with Congressman Wilson; a letter (9/19/58) from Capt. R. C. Lynch, Jr. (Commander, Naval Training Center) & Wilson's reply (10/15/58) re/ pictures taken while Wilson was visiting NTC & his interest in NTC.
