Scope and Contents
A large collection of letters, telegrams, memos, news clippings, postal cards & office notes. As with folder 22, these items deal with the raid by Mexican authorities on the Rosarito Beach hotel, the arrest and detainment of American citizens, local newspaper responses, constituent concerns, Wilson's replies and other information. An example is: stapled packet of letters (2/59) & a petition from 87 constituents re/ "We, the undersigned are requesting the State Department's attention be directed to Tijuana – San Diego Border situation . . . . we want restrictions on American citizens crossing the border."
