A collection of letters, notes, forms and records. Examples are: letters (Jan.-Mar. 1954) from Congressman Wilson & Herman Landon (District Dir., INS, Los Angles)re/ interest in the visa petition executed by Chula Vista constituent Hom San Toy Hom in behalf of Hom Wing Gim aka Hom Ngit Choo; letters (11/54-1/55) from constituent Hom Ying Mai, Wilson & Julian F. Harrington (American Consul General, Hong Kong) re/ difficulty Mr. Mai had in attempting to obtain a visa for his son, Hom Hing Chuey; letters (June-July 1955) from constituent Hom Lee, Wilson & Maurice S. Lee (Consul in Charge, Hong Kong) re/ “the nonquota immigrant visa application of LEE Toy Ngeow, alleged wife of Hom Lee;” letters & Memo (Apr. & Oct. 1956) from the American Vice Consul in charge of Visa Unit (Hong Kong), Congressman Wilson, Everett F. Drumright (Consul General, Hong Kong) & Margaret M. Young (Wilson’s Secretary) re/ attempts of constituent Harry Yuen Shin Erh to help his son, Jerry Yu An Erh, process an immigrant visa from Hong Kong; letters (Aug.-Sept. 1958) from constituents Lam-Tai Cheung & Stanley J. French (Boyle Engineering) & Wilson re/ Mr. Cheung’s request for assistance from Bob Wilson in obtaining a visa for his aged parents residing in Hong Kong; letters (Apr. 1959- Sept. 1960) from constituent Shuck Wing Fung, Wilson, John M. Steeves (Consul General, Hong Kong) & J. C. Holmes (Consul General, Hong Kong) re/ difficulties for Mr. Fung in helping his wife obtain a visa – “another one of those Chinese identity cases which are difficult if not impossible to resolve;” letters (Oct. 1960 - Mar. 1961) from Wilson, J. C. Holmes (Consul General, Hong Kong), constituent Ki Yih Sun (U.S.S. Piedmont, AD 17, FPO) & King Ling Sun (Wanchai, Hong Kong) re/ the attempts of Mr. Sun’s son, King Ling, to obtain a visitor’s visa; other items in this folder are: large, stapled packet of letters, affidavit, photostat & other items (1960-1961) re/ a complicated story of an elderly constituent’s attempts to bring his son, Hom Gin Soon, to the United States; copies of “Immigrant Visa Cases ---- Hong Kong,” May & June 1962; letters (6/62) re/ Wilson’s meeting with Chinese Chamber of Commerce in San Diego; letters & visa information (May-June 1962) re/ general information on visas for immigrants, especially Chinese refugees in Hong Kong; large stapled packet of letters & a quota form (Sept. 1960-Feb. 1963) re/ “travel documentation . . . for certain Chinese refugees was delivered to Chu Chung Kei, his wife and children on January 18, 1963” represents Wilson’s “many little deeds of kindness and work on behalf of these worth people.”
