Scope and Contents

A collection of letters, drawings, proposals, a government booklet & other items. Examples are: letters (Jan.-Feb. 1961) from El Cajon constituent George W. Murphy, Wilson & Patent Office Commissioner Robert C. Watson re/ status of Mr. Murphy’s application for a Flower Stake patent; letter (4/4/61) from John Forney Rudy (The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co) & Wilson’s reply (4/7/61) re/ a photograph showing the company’s San Diego installation; letters (May-July 1961) from Imperial Beach constituent Mrs. Russo & Wilson re/ difficulty in building a model of the toy Mrs. Russo had invented & comments from Wilson as to his family; letters (Apr.-May 1961) re/ Wilson’s assistance in obtaining copyright material for La Jolla constituent who had recently translated a French book; stapled packet of letters (Aug.-Oct. 1961) re/ a constituent’s proposals & diagrams concerning “Flying Saucers, Possibility” and concepts of “centripetal space drive;” stapled packet of letters & diagrams (July-Aug. 1961) re/ Chula Vista constituent’s “Method of Chem-Milling Honeycomb Structures,” personal commentary to Wilson & reference as being “a garret inventor;” letters (4/62) re/ Del Mar constituent’s development of “a vehicle which though not a glider is in the class of small private light aircraft” & attached copy of a brochure “The Perl Air Auto;” letters (Feb. & May 1962) & attached copy of Patent Information from Knox & Knox Registered To Practice Before the U. S. Patent Office, also brief commentary on partisan politics; 2 letters (6/62) & 1 photo slide re/ a Bonita constituent’s development of “a concept of transportation [for] . . . military, civil and economic survival in the 1970’s;” letters (7/62) & a copy of Dept. of Commerce, General Information Concerning PATENTS, June 1960 (Reprint of November 1961) re/ constituent’s desire to have “protection of a name for certain kind of paint;” packet of letters (June-Sept. 1962) re/ Wilson & Patent Office respond to complaints from Chula Vista constituent Jack McClure (McClure Aviation Company); letters (Oct.-Nov. 1962) re/ constituent proposal for a formula to “eliminate pain from burns. . . .;” letters (11/62) re/ a constituent’s interest in copyright protection for her ceramics business.
