Wadsworth (Dir., Civil Defense and Disaster Organization, County of San Diego, Gillespie Field) re/ details on evacuation procedures and HR. 4843; letters & news clipping (Mar.-June 1958) re/ responses to Coronado constituent’s concern about Operation Alert & her political negative commentary about Congressman Lionel Van Deerlin; a letter (6/13/58) from Wilson and a copy of Operation Alert 1958 of “the mock atomic bomb drop in California which was held in May;” a copy of State of California, California Disaster Office, Operation Alert 1958, which contains “Introduction, General Situation, Special Situation A, B, C, D & Critiques;” a letter (8/7/58) from L. J. Wadsworth (Dir. of Civil Defense, County of San Diego) & attached copy of County of San Diego, Continuity of Government Workshop, May 6, 1958; a letter (9/26/58) from Charles F. Ducander (Counsel, Committee on Armed Services) to Wilson & a copy of Public Law 85-06 – “To further amend the Federal Civil Defense of 1950;” a letter (10/3/58) from L. J. Wadsworth (Dir., S.D. County Civil Defense) to Wilson re/ thanking Wilson for his support of PL 85-06.
