A small collection of letters & a telegram. Examples are: letters (4/55) from M. H. Alvarez (KFMB . CBS Radio for San Diego), R.E. Landis (La Jolla) & Congressman Claire Engle (Chairman, Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs) re/ inquires as to hearings on manganese bills before the subcommittee on Mines and Mining; 4 letters & 1 telegram (May-June 1955) re/ responses to inquiry from Bourne Products, Inc. of El Cajon, California urging action on the request to divert additional quantities of aluminum from government stockpiles; letters (10/55) re/ responses to the Kelco Co. of San Diego and hearings on Alginate (Algin); a letter (12/26/56) from Jacumba constituent Thomas S. Dunning & Wilson’s reply (1/2/57) re/ a complaint about the National Gypsum Company’s alleged expansion west of Plaster City; a letter (5/28/57) from Paul Henderson (Amplex Corp., San Diego) & Wilson’s reply (6/12/57) re/ Mr. Henderson’s inquiry as to pending appropriation of funds for the stockpiling of minerals including tungsten.
