A collection of letters, telegrams, news clippings, announcements, news releases, memos & postal cards. These are filed from January through December. Hyndman; the Pierre S. duPont High School of Wilmington, Del. receives the annual Bellamy Flag Award for 1965; SDSC freshman Patricia Sumner is named Miss Young Republican for San Diego; Wilson to RAdm. B. W. Decker (6/17) - “Dear Benny: Congratulations on the fine write-up about your work in Yokosuka. I remember my visit there twelve years ago – and you were already a legend; ” El Cajon Valley Lions Club president Trenton Huls; Clairemont High School Senior James Hylton wins Copley Scholarship; John Banks (President, National Steel & Shipbuilding Co.) is elected president of the Propeller Club; retirement of J. S. Knight from 33 years of service to the State of California & a brief biography; Chula Vista Lions Club president George Edwards; Terry O’Rourke is award the Claremont Men’s College Scholarship & San Diegan RAdm. Draper L. Kauffman becomes Superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy; for July: news clippings & letters cover topics & persons such as Richard Thruston as President of the El Cajon Chamber of Commerce; Alfred G. Laing as President of the Coronado Rotary Club; the Reverend George W. Smith is elected President & Arnold O.
