MacDougall (County Supervisors Assn. of Calif.) & Wilson’s reply (1/29) re/ the Assn.’ “vigorously reaffirmed California county policy against the imposition of the 163 acre limitation on state developed water from the San Luis Dam Project;” a resolution & letters (1/5, 3/6 & 3/12) re/ the Oceanside City Council urged necessary action to include funds in the current Congressional budget to implement flood control of San Luis Rey River; a 9 page “Statement of Jean L. Vincenz, Director of Public Works, San Diego County” re/ Mr. Vincenz’ appeared before the committee and presented remarks “concerning H.R. 10113 and H.R. 10317” and stressed the need for an “Office of Public Works” and for “Local Capital Improvements;” a resolution, office note & letter (4/3, 13 & 26) re/ The S.D. County Bd. of Supervisors supported funds for the flood control of the San Luis Rey River; letters (5/1 & 5/11) & an attached April 6th copy of “Recommendation of the State of California for Federal Appropriations for California Projects FY 1962-63 (5 pages) re/ the California Water Commission invited “the members of the California Congressional delegation and their wives to a reception” in Washington on May 15, but Wilson was unable to attend; letters (Oct. & Nov.) re/ La Jolla constituent Earl R. Whitney owned property in Missouri and requested Wilson to help him obtain information from the Army Corps of Engineer concerning the Joanna Dam and Reservoir in Missouri. Wilson complied.
