Scope and Contents
A small collection of letters, telegrams, folders and a H.R. document. Examples are: telegrams (8/31 & 9/1/61) from the San Francisco 49’ers and the Los Angeles Rams & a copy of 87th Cong., 1st Sess. H.R. 8757 . . . A Bill To amend the antitrust laws to authorize leagues of professional football, baseball, basketball, and hockey teams to enter into certain television contracts, and for other purposes – sent to Wilson re/ “Will appreciate your support;” a letter (12/5/61) from Clark Kerr (President of the University of California) to “Members of Congress” extending to members of Congress the opportunity to purchase two tickets each for the January 1, 1962 game at the Rose Bowl featuring the Bruins; a letter (4/25/61) from the Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation to Wilson and 2 folders entitled “Reclamation’s Recreational Opportunities;” a letter (12/29/61) from the Assistant Secretary of the Interior to Wilson re/ ‘We are pleased to enclose a copy of the new report entitled “National Survey of Fishing and Hunting” for 1960.
