Bate re/ controversy over Dept. of Agriculture, the “CCC- owned or controlled cotton storage” & the Port of S.D. not contemplating, at present, the storage of CCC materials; 2 letters (8/4/61) from David E. Porter (V.P., S.D. Traffic Services, 10th Ave. Terminal) & 1 letter (8/7/61) from S. Hanaoka (V.P. Kobe Mercantile, Inc.) re/ urging support for H.R. 248 & S.D.’s competition with the Port of Ensenada; 1 copy of a letter (9/21/61) from Rae F. Reupsch (Business Mrg., Port of San Diego),, R.H. Laman, Jr. (Port Account, Port of S.D.), & S. Howard Minor, Jr. (Gen. Mgr., H.& M. Sportsfishers, Inc.) re/ Harbor Commission review of rental rate structure for dock space, com-plaints about fees, & other related details for these tourist oriented enterprises; 1 copy of a 20 page “Petition for Reduction of Rental Charge of Tidelands Property Leased By Petitioners” – Fisherman’s Landing, H.&M. Sportfishers, & Point Loma Sportfisher Assn.—“Before the Honorable Commission of the Harbor Department, City of San Diego, State of California, May 10 & 11, 1962.” This petition contains a “summary of rental charges in effect for various parcels of both land and water areas;” a small collection of letters (Ap.-May 1962) from Congressman Wilson, Port Dir.
