Smiley (Bowie, Maryland) & his interest in a CA law related to the tax structure of golf courses; letters (May) re/ a corporal with 3rd Marine Division will be overseas when his driver’s license expires and Wilson sent him the address of the DMV in Sacramento; letters & envelop (May) re/ a constituent’s application for veteran’s exemption and Wilson’s reminder that this was out of his jurisdiction; letters (5/3 & 13) and a copy of S. 1275 re/ CA Attorney General Stanley Mosk’s letter “To the Senators and Representatives of California in the United States Congress” in support of S. 1275 which would address a number of water rights issues; letters (4/19 & 5/2) re/ S.D. constituent Miss Joyce Stringer urges Wilson to support the State Legislature’s proposal to ban capital punishment; stapled copies of letters (May & June) and resolutions re/ Senate Joint Resolutions Nos. 2, 6, 14 & 23 and Senate Concurrent Resolution No. 61.
