Scope and Contents

A collection of letters, excerpts from periodicals, resolutions, pamphlets & other items. Examples are: letters (Apr.) re/ Stardust Hotel and Hotel del Coronado focusing on new travel and entertainment & expense rules; letters (Apr.) related to the tax issues of CWO-2 Maurice Corbett (MCRD), the San Diego Police Officers Assoc., the Wesleyan Methodist Church of America (Marion, Ohio), & the Board of Supervisors (County of San Mateo, CA); letters (8/62-4/63) re/ El Cajon constituent Mrs. Ralph Higgins’s estate tax problem with her attorney; Jerry H Kelley, HM2, USN (S.D. Naval Station) requests help from Wilson re/ his audited 1963 tax; letters (May) re/ complications for Hutchinson Tax Services; Republican Don J. Prentice & G. Keith Funston (N.Y. Stock Exchange) & his pamphlets – On the Effects of Reducing Capital Gains Tax Rate & The Right Destination for Tax Reform; letters (4/23 & 5/2) re/ Tom F. Ham, Jr. (Bali Hai), Wilson & concern that recent tax changes threaten job loss; letters (2/21, 3/26, & 4/30) re/ the El Cortez Hotel’s concern about the future of the hotel industry if present Treasury Regulations on travel and entertainment expenses stay in force; packet of letters (Feb.-Apr.) & pages from the Congressional Record - Appendix (Feb.-Apr.) re/ Kings Inn (Mission Valley), Restaurant Assoc. and frustration with same issues as noted above.
