A collection of letters, pamphlets, an Opinion Survey, periodical excerpts, news clippings, telegrams & other items. This folder is similar to folder 3 in facing issues with the new tax code and covers June-Nov. West Virg.) & Wilson & a copy of H.R. 7813; letters (Sept.-Oct.) re/ clarification needed on Federal Alcohol Tax to wine purchased from a bonded winery and used in a food product ie a wine jelly; Sept. 19 press release from Hon. James B. Utt (R. CA) – “Utt Blasts the President’s Misleading Tax Cut Appeal;” 9/25 telegram from Thomas L. Pitts (Sec.-Trea. California Labor Federation AFL-CIO) Urging support for Ways and Means Version of H.R. 8363 an opposition to recommital of bill; letters (Sept. & Oct.) re/ media & GOP tax policy; letters (Oct.-Nov.) re/ Huchinson Tax Service and power of attorney.
