A collection of Congressman Wilson’s testimony before House subcommittees, press releases, newsclippings & corresp. on public works. Examples are: Copy of “Statement of Congressman Bob Wilson Before The House Public Works Appropriation Subcommittee May 11, 1970” re/ San Diego Harbor Navigation Project & Flood Control Projects for Mission Valley, Chollas Creek & the Sweetwater River;” copy of newsclipping (Evening Tribune, 2/2/70) re/ “President Nixon’s budget for fiscal 1971 seeks nearly $2.5 million projects in San Diego County;” copy of “Testimony of Congressman Bob Wilson Before The House Public Works Appropriation Subcommittee June 9, 1969” re/ “requests for five San Diego projects [flood control & second entrance to S.D. Bay] and to urge your approval of planning funds for an unbudgeted but very vital project affecting maritime commerce and the Navy in our area [additional dredging of S.D. Woolner (Commissioner, HHFA) & telegram from Robert C. Cozens (Chairman, S.D. County Bd. of Supervisors) (Dec. 1963-Jan. 1964) re/ “the County’s Accelerated Public Works application ...APW-Calif-183G....a grant of $450,000 for assistance in construction of a County building;” two copies of the HHFA’s “News...” release for Dec. 18, 1963 re/ grants to San Diego for repairs of the California Tower & Museum of Man in Balboa Park, replacement of East S.D.
