Examples are: Stapled photocopy of 5 page Convention Order of Business for Monday, August 5, 1968 through Thursday, August 81-page; 1 page photocopy of “Mrs. Bob Wilson will attend...Reception and Luncheon Gala...August 6, 1968;” two copies of “Welcome To Miami!” tourist packets; one “Fact Card” re/ “Convention Gala, Grand Ballroom...Sunday, August 4, 1968;” one copy of Congressman Wilson’s room reservation receipt for the Fontainbleau Hotel; one note from Paul to Bob (n.d.) re/ “Frank Thornton says if Nixon wins nomination, there will be big airport rally for him at Lindbergh Field, Friday, Aug. 9 when his private plane arrives at 6 p.m.;” 4 Western Union telegrams (July-Aug. 1968) sent to Congressman Wilson (Chairman, National Republican Congressional Committee) from California Governor Ronald Reagan, Adm. Geheres (USN, Ret.), Bernard Katzen (Consultant, Republican Nat. Committee) & “Henry L. Hall For Congress;” 1 copy of “Bob Wilson Reports from Washington” (newsletter for August 1968); 1 note from Paul to Bob (n.d.) re/ “We have teleprompter dry-runs set up tentatively as follows: 2 p.m Tues. Veteran members-- 2:45 p.m. Tues. Freshmen;” 2 news clippings-- 1 from The Tacoma News Tribune and Sunday Ledger (7/21/68) & 1 from the Spokesman-Review (n.d.) re/ “Firing of Berentson Stirs Republican Ire” & “Republican Field Director praised” concerning activities of John Birch Society; 1 letter from Bill McClain (Dir., Public Affairs, Nat. Assoc. of Manuf.) to Congressman Wilson (7/26/68) re/ recommendation for “secondary speech for the Vice Presidential nomination;” 3 letters from Don Driese (The Tolle Co.) to Congressman Wilson (7/68) re/ aeronautical history; 1 letter from George Thiss (Minn. Republican State Central Committee) (7/24/68) re/ soliciting advice from Bob Wilson as to voting for the presidential nominee; 1 letter from E. Joseph Hillings (Wash. Rep. for the National Airlines, Inc.) (7/28/68) re/ “pleased to enclose your key to the Flying Elephant Lounge operated during the 1968 Republican Convention by the Air Transport Association of America;” 1 letter from Bernard Katzen (Dir., Ethnic Div., Republican Nat. Committee) to Congressman Wilson (7/18/68) re/ “The Ethnic Division ... is holding a reception to meet the Republican Leadership .... Invitations are going out to all the Jewish delegates, alternates and prominent guests;” 2 keys-- 1 for the Yacht Pimlem & the other for the Flying Elephant Club.
