Morris Sievert (Pres., Solar Turbine, Inc.) for his information on how other nations use bribery in business & anticipating that “after next January 20, we’ll see a more rational approach…[from] the federal government in stimulating business for American firms;” 2 letters (9/12 & 10/6/80) from O. Morris Sievert to Wilson re/ an article from Business International on bribery around the world,” critiques of Governor Brown & the Federal Corrupt Practices Act, too much morality in our nation’s attitude about business and appreciation of Wilson’s assistance with Solar’s “Racer Program;” 1 Western Union telegram (5/10/80) from O.M. Sievert to Wilson requesting his vote in favor of “HRES 655 which vetoes the…[FERC] Phase II incremental pricing regulations;” 3 letters (2/28/80) from O.M. Sievert to Wilson, Senator Alan Cranston & Congressman Lionel Van Deerlin & attached photocopy of John Huey, “Sinking Island For Socialist Jamaiac….,” Wall Street Journal (2/25/80) re/ Mr. Sievert’s reminders to both Cranston and Van Deerlin of the similar dangers the U.S. faces “as a result of the path that we have been on the last 30 or 40 years;” 1 letter ((7/1/80) from Tom S. Pendergast (Manager, Govt. Rel., Solar Turbines, Inc.) to Wilson thanking him for his help with two projects—“The Naval Air Systems Command Start Cart and the Naval Sea Systems Command Racer System;” 1 copy of a technical paper produced by Solar Turbines, Inc.—“Shipboard Energy Savings with the Racer System.”
