Summary Note
Video tributes the 30th anniversary of Earl Ben Gilliam Bar Association. It documents the era of one of the first African American lawyers association in San Diego. Various judges such as Naopleon Jones Junior and Keith Burth discuss the history of the organization and the positive impact it took for the the San Diego community. General Counsel, Bea W. Kemp, describes how African American lawyers wanted to form an organization that would focus on helping and educating the African American communities. Members of the bar association also mentioned how attorney then president Danniel Webber decided for the name to be changed to Earl Ben Gilliam Bar Association.
