Summary Note

In his recollections, Lesser describes how he first met Panzram. Lesser details how and why Panzram was tortured by the Washington DC prison guards, and describes why he gave Panzram a dollar out of sympathy as well as Panzram's reaction to this act. Lesser also discusses an incident in the jail at Christmas time as well as Panzram's relationship with one of his brothers.
