Summary Note

These documents relate to Arturo Casares' arrest, jail time, and lawsuit resulting from the incidents which took place at the event on the first anniversary of the founding of Chicano Park. Casares and his co-defendent David Llamas were convicted of battery on a peace officer, then later reduced to obstructing a peace officer. The folder includes legal documents, statements, press regarding the case, flyers, correspondence about the case from Casares' lawyer, and letters of support by character witnesses.
