Smith's election campaigns for the San Diego Board of Education in 1963 and 1967, and the National School Board Association (NSBA) in 1967. Smith was the first African American elected to the San Diego Board of Education and the NSBA. This scrapbook has been split into 15 parts due to file size restrictions.
