Scope and Contents
The Chastain Family Papers consists of postcards and greeting cards addressed to the Chastain Family between 1923 and 1951, mostly from their daughter Hazel, who lived in Portland, Oregon after 1944 with her husband William Mathews.

Biographical Note
Residents of San Diego from the 1920's to 1950s. Father was T. M. B. Chastain, daughters Clare and Hazel. Hazel moved to Portland, Oregon in 1944 and married William Mathews.
