Scope and Contents

Jessica Levy compiled this collection of playbills ranging in date from 1955 - 2003. The majority document performances in New York City theaters, but a few were created for international productions. Broadway and off-Broadway stage efforts are represented.

Biographical Note

Jessica Levy has had an extensive career in theater in which she has served in many roles, including that of casting director, producer, and even assistant art director. Highlights include 1964 Hamlet on Broadway, on which she served as Sir John Gelgud's Special Assistant, directing the first staged reading of Gemini, and producing a Broadway performance of Eastern Standard.
