Dick Adair Scrapbook, 1941-1978

 Item — Box: 6

Scope and Contents

Dick Adair grew up in San Bernardino, California. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 1943, and received multiple decorations and citations for his service. Soon after the war he attended San Diego State where he earned his teaching credential. During his time at SDSU, he played both football and basketball. His scrapbook consists of news clippings, football game programs, and black and white photographs from 1947-1948, documenting his athletic career while at San Diego State. The black and white photographs are a mix of Adair’s personal photos of his friends and team mates, and copies of official team and game photos. Many of the photos and football programs were loose in the scrapbooks. Donated by Jan Lewis.
