Burke, Jr. (Chief, Water Supply Section, Div. of Water Pollution Control, HEW) re/ concerns over pollution and chlorination of public water supplies; photocopy of "Words of Commendation" for Charles F. Gailing (n.d.), appointed Agent in Charge, U.S. Secret Service; letters & postal card (Apr.-June 1959) from La Jolla constituent Mrs. Warren S. Cook, Congressmen Utt & Wilson, Mrs. Bessie Rich (Nat. Waters, DDS (Coronado) to Congressman David S. King re/ thanking the Congressman for his recent speech on the "modern degradation of our food supplies and your proposed bill, H. R. 9150, designed to delve into this serious matter." As a charter member of the American Academy of Nutrition, Dr. Waters' letter contains information on this topic of food degradation.
