Kinney’s trip to Scotland, her return & Margaret Young (Wilson’s Secretary) informs Mrs. Kinney that “The Collector of Customs at New York last year discontinued this courtesy to individuals arriving the Port of New York . . . . customs service for air travelers had improved to such an extent that the usual formalities would merely delay rather than expedite your clearance;” letters (May-Sept.) re/ lots of personal information on Wilson, friend Miss Isabel Arnold, a photo of her “Adena” residence in North Carolina & courtesies of the Port arranged for Ely C. Arnold when he arrived aboard the SS ROTTERDAM on September 11 in New York; letters (Aug.) re/ RAdm. John V. Peterson (ret.) receives Courtesy of the Port on his arrival abroad the SS OSLOFJORD on September 9; letters (Aug.-Sept.) re/ Wilson to Collector of Customs, Los Angeles, “Please extend the Courtesy of the Port to Miss Suzanne Isabel Bedford, Mrs. Irma C. Krieger, and Mrs. Emily Hardie, who are arriving together from London on Pan American Flight 121 on September 11, 1959 at 2:10 p.m.;” letters (May & June) re/ Courtesy of the Port in New York for Mrs. L. F. Abbot aboard the SS NIEW AMSTERDAM instead of the SS AUGUSTUS.
