Custodial History

This collection was donated to the Jewish Historical Society of San Diego in 2019 (JHSSD #2019.04) by Michael Stern, Senior Director of Marketing at Jewish Family Service San Diego. When this collection was donated, Jewish Family Service decided to retain correspondence and other important material from the early 20th century at their office with the promise of donating it to the Jewish Historical Society of San Diego Archives when they had copied it, but as of September 2023, that had not come to fruition.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The Jewish Historical Society of San Diego transferred this collection to Special Collections & University Archives in 2023.
