The contents of the collections consist of documents, records, minutes, newspaper clippings, photographs, special programs and events regarding the congregation, from the 1990’s with a few items from 2000-2002 from the merged congregation, Ohr Shalom Synagogue.
This collection includes film festival brochures, photos of committee members and newspaper clippings. It also includes brochures and pamphlets from the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture and the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. A DVD and brochure from the "First Fifty Years" celebration of San Diego's United Jewish Federation co-produced by Joyce Axelrod and Lori Pollin in 1987 is also included.
The collection consists of materials collected from Cohn's school days until his death. Included are correspondence; over 2000 sermons; plays; personal documents; photographs and materials relating the various congregations he served. There are scrapbooks and newspaper clippings regarding both Cohn and his wife Sally and current events, index cards, pamphlets, research notes and plaques.
This collection includes biographical information, photos, newspaper clippings, religious services, sermons & addresses, articles, eulogies, dedication and event booklets, primarily from the congregations he served in San Diego County. There is also material from the various congregations he served in Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania, Nevada and California.
This collection includes photos, correspondence, audio tapes, typed and handwritten notes and copies of various documents. Another part of the collection, bound volumes of the “Southwest Jewish Press Heritage” will be donated when the library opens back up after being closed by the COVID19 Pandemic and will be included with other volumes of the publication.
This collection consists of material regarding the San Diego Chapter of the American Jewish Committee from the 1980's-2000's and material from the first San Diego Jewish Community Mission to Israel in 1995 when Yitzchak Rabin was assassinated. It also includes personal notes, speeches and clippings from Deborah Horwitz who was president of the San Diego Chapter of the AJC. There is also material on the Nierman Foundation and its philanthropy in San Diego.
