Scope and Contents

A collection primarily of letters, telegrams, postal cards and news clippings commenting on Medicare, the so-called A.M.A. “Eldercare” and other proposals in Congress. Wilson’s response letters in February and March are the same as those in Folder 18. A large number of the constituent letters are from Republicans and seniors who oppose the Administration’s plan and support the Eldercare version, but a few also encourage Wilson to support LBJ’s plan.
