Roberts (Collector of Customs) & Deane Haskins (Attorney at law, Irwin & Haskins) re/ Petition of Pacific View Motors “securing release of two automobiles” seized by U.S. Customs in April 1960; a packet containing letters & Western Union telegrams (July-Aug. 1962) from Congressman Wilson, Philip Nichols, Jr. (Commissioner of Customs) & constitu-ent Albert Hartunian re/ Mr. Hartunian’s request “that an investigation be conduc-ted regarding the granting and operation of bonded warehouses for liquor and cigarettes at San Ysidro and Calexico California by the United States Customs Service;” a small packet containing 3 letters (Oct. 1962) from Congressman Wilson, Philip Nichols, Jr.(Commissioner of Customs) & constituent Mrs. Anthony Kiewlich re/ the Kiewliches’ assistance to “the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in providing food and clothing to needy people in Mexico” & the problems they had with export regulations & hours of enforcement at the Port of San Ysidro.
