Young (Wilson’s secretary), & Lt. Col. G.W. Pickell  (GS Office, Chief of Legislative Liaison, HQ., Dept. of the Army) re/ the long & complicated story of Sgt. Mendoza’s alleged blackmarket activities in Turkey – “Every effort is being made to encourage Turkish authorities to dispose of cases involving United States Servicemen in a more expeditious manner;” 2 office notes & 4 letters (Nov.-Dec. 1964) from “Mimi” to “Ed,” Mrs. Warren R. Coleman (Chairman, North Area Civic Research Assn., Carmichael, CA), Congressman Wilson, & CA Assemblyman Dick Barnes re/ accusations made by a “Colonel Gamage,” missing newspaper clippings sent to Wilson, & some type of expose’ which is hinted at in the corresp.
