Five packets of corresp. as follows: 1 telegram & 4 letters ( Nov.-Dec. 1964) from constituent Howard S. Fisher (Fisher Aircraft Co), Congressman Wilson & Col. L. Conques (Office of Legislative Liaison, Dept. of Air Force) re/ "Government competition with private industry;" 2 letters & 1 resolution (Nov.-Dec. 1964) from Aaron H. Glickman (Executive Secretary, California Port Authorities) & Congressman Wilson re/ a "Resolution of the California Association of Port Authorities commending the Federal Maritime Commission;" letters & office notes (Dec. 1964) from Santee constituent John T. Lindsay, Congressman Wilson & his staff re/ Mr. Lindsay's complaint about the Federal Urban Renewal Commission withholding money until the State Supreme Court ruled on Proposition 14; 5 letters ( Feb.-May 1965) from San Diego constituent Mrs. Rose Brannan, Congressman Wilson & K.A. Randall (Chairman, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.) re/ clarifying information for a bank depositor using FDIC; and one copy of the "Remarks of Congressman Jack Brooks, Association For Computing Machinery, September 16, 1965 (8 pages) re/ House Government Activities Subcommittee concern "about certain obvious deficiencies in the manner in which the government acquires and utilizes ADP equipment. . . . In 1954, there were 10 computer systems in operation within the federal government. By 1962, the number had increased to 1,000." By 1965 more than 2,000. "Approximately $25 million in tax funds is going down the drain each month that effective and efficient government-wide ADP management is delayed."
