A collection of letters, reports, telegrams and other items. Examples are: a letter (9/9/54) from Capt. G. D. Zurmuehlen (U. S. Naval Amphibious Naval Base) to Congressman Wilson re/ personal information and his delight to be back in California; a packet of corresp. (Dec. 1954-Jan. 1955), a "Status Report on Production . . . and its effect on Navy Department's Planners and Estimators and Progressmen" & an 8 page copy of "Statement of the Navy with respect to the Production Specialist Standards" re/ responses to the "possible adverse action of 'grading' Planners and Estimators and Progressmen by the U. S. Civil Service Commission;" 3 letters (Feb. 1955) from constituents to Wilson, a "Comparative Pay Scale Graph," notes on this & a copy of Dept. of the Navy, "Statement Concerning the Establishment of Ungraded Aircraft Inspector Ratings" re/ need to reevaluate pay scales; a 5 page letter (2/11/55) from Arthur Stuckey (President, The Aircraft Overhaul Inspectors Association . . . North Island) & enclosed Dept. of the Navy Bureau of Aeronautics material from Capt. G. R. Dyson (26 May 1945) – "Digest of Proceedings of Inspector & Survey Conference 15-17 May 1945 (9 pages) re/ desire by the Assn. to obtain equitable pay differentials; telegram (3/31/55) from Wilson & reply (4/8/55) from M. J. Faurote (Sec., Planner and Estimators' and Progressmen's Association) re/ "Your active assistance regarding the retention of our 'ungraded' status is appreciated;" a letter (12/2/55) from VAdm. J. L. Holloway, Jr. (Chief of Naval Personnel) to Wilson re/ reduction (RIF) of the number of civilian personnel within Wilson's district at NTC & the Amphib. Base and telegrams and letters (Oct.-Nov. 1956) in response to this from Lodge 1716, A. F. G. E. Amphibious Base, Wilson & BuPers. Lodge 1716 congratulated Wilson for his "commendable work . . . on our behalf, concerning the canceled RIF aboard the Amphibious Base."
