A collection letters, notices, listings, notes, newsletter & other items. Examples are: Public Notice & map (12/9/64) from Lt. Col. A. R. Marshall (Deputy District Engineer, Corps of Engineers) re/ the establishment of a restricted area adjacent to Point Loma – south of Ballast Point; letters (Oct.-Nov. 1964) from constituent Miss Loraine S. Duval, Congressman Wilson & Adm. David L. McDonald (CNO) re/ a response to concerns about "North Viet Nam gunboats . . . trailing our naval ships, our ships could not defend themselves . . . Secretary of Defense Arthur Sylvester to Wilson "urging accreditation of news correspondence to United States Ships patrolling near the Vietnamese coast;" letters (Oct.-Nov. 1964) re/ "request for the U.S. Navy to lift a stone image from Easter Island to Chile;" a Nov. 16, 1964 letter from the Secretary of the Navy Paul Nitze congratulating Wilson on his re-election and working with Wilson on matters of mutual concern; letter & press release (Nov.-Dec. 1964) re/ construction contract for "Wells AirStart Systems" for North Island; packet of corresp. (Aug.-Dec. 1964) re/ a constituent military retiree contested a $10 traffic ticket he received at MCRD; letters (12/64) to President Johnson contesting the current move to return to a 20 percent private shipyard work vs. the 35/65 law; letters (Aug. 1964) re/ dredging for Del Mar Boat Basin & CNO letter on Ship Repair Facility; packet of corresp.
